Dave Helling named MCMA 2010 banquet speaker
MCMA is proud to announce its 2010 banquet speaker, Dave Helling, who works as a multimedia reporter for The Kansas City Star. At The Star, Helling produces videos for the Web site Kansascity.com, as well as regular contributions to the print edition. During his time at the newspaper, Helling has covered major events such as the 2008 presidential election and the signing of the health care bill this past March.
Garozzo's Ristorante to host awards banquet
The 2010 MCMA awards banquet will be held Saturday at Garozzo's Ristorante at 1547 NE Rice, Lee's Summit, Mo., 64086. The dinner will start shortly after 6 p.m. on the second floor of the restaurant. Following the dinner will be a speech from MCMA's banquet speaker Dave Helling along with the annual awards ceremony.

MCMA 2010 conference update
Dear Missouri College Media Association Members, The first month of the decade has passed, and soon, another MCMA spring convention will take place. The two-day conference, ceremony and networking opportunity for all dues-paying newspapers and yearbooks has been scheduled for April 9-10 (the weekend after Easter).
